ARPER / MILAN INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE FAIR 2007

Arper is an Italian company that was set up in the late eighties with a view to manufacturing and selling its own range of products in Italy and overseas. Before its inception, the founders had gained many years' experience supplying finely crafted leather items to outside parties. Arper's expertise in producing high quality leather chairs proved to be the key to the company's immediate success with the public. Consequently the management soon decided to extend its product range to include items created with other materials in order to satisfy the needs of increasingly demanding consumers and expanding marketplaces. This corporate decision did not only focus on quality and safety, but also included design and aesthetics.

Today, Arper is renowned for its ability to interpret the needs and trends of the international marketplace. The chair and table collections it offers are able to satisfy the differing requirements of the home, contract and office furnishing sectors. Arper's approach results in natural, sensual, functional and exacting designs.

These new versions of the Aston collection, design Jean Marie Massaud, with their distinctive design and balanced proportions, are intended for conference halls, offices and executive meeting rooms.
The Aston Conference, Aston Direction and Aston Office models are distinguished by the height of the chair-back. The three models come with a choice of two bases: a 4-star base with optional automatic seat positioning mechanism or 5-star base with castors and a gas-operated height adjustment mechanism.

A new addition is Fred, a collection of tables that reflect the style of Jean Marie Massaud's Aston collection and are a taster for the full range, which will be available in a variety of shapes and sizes. It has an aluminium structure with 4-star base and a square or round MDF top, according to the different heights. Ideal for any number of different situations, Fred adapts beautifully to lounge, domestic or contract settings.

The Norma collection's - Norma lounge, Norma high stool and Norma low stool, design Lievore, Altherr, Molina - clean, sensuous lines make it ideally suited for both contemporary spaces and more traditional settings and have been further enhanced by a lounge chair. All the models in the collection come with a steel structure and polyurethane padding. A choice of coverings is available with leather, cowhide and suede, all of the highest quality and featuring a decorative element in the form of reverse zip as an alternative to classic seams.

The Duna collection, design Lievore, Altherr, Molina, has been revisited with the addition of a new sled base featuring fluid, dynamic lines. The collection's distinctive '60s design is matched by a modern selection of materials.

Catifa 80, design Lievore, Altherr, Molina, now comes with a new central base made from a rectangular steel plate. A version with an automatic seat repositioning mechanism is also available to order. Its expands the concept of comfort and relaxation and places the emphasis on sensuous, natural design.
