Lorenzo Damiani / H2O / 2004 / for OTTO GALLERY |
Washbasin complete with trap and shelf made out of molded plastic. Matching faucet; 34 x 48 x h 32 cm. Intended principally for spaces of an industrial character, public buildings or schools and kitchen gardens, «H2O» is made up of simple plastic elements whose forms have been «fused» to make them uniform. A particular iconic value is assumed by the trap, an element that is usually masked, as well as by the bright colors that are proposed as an alternative to the aesthetic of white sanitary ware. «H2O» finds its raison d'ętre in the selling price, which makes it accessible to all sorts of markets and buyers. «H2O» was designed on the occasion of the solo exhibition «In-Coerenza» at the Otto Gallery in Bologna in 2004. |
