PARRI DESIGN / MILAN INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE FAIR 2009

Born in the beginning of 90's, Parri enter upon a way qualified by the innovation on materials, shapes and solutions for design seating and furniture, thanks to the experience gained during a century by the founding family, beginning from the artisan and arriving to the industrial many years ago through uninterrupted development.
The sector they initially advance toward is the one of contract and public areas, with items designed by Marco Maran, Art Director of the company. Chairs, tables and sofas, flexible on colours and finishes, influence the evolution of public space purely functional.

Linear and clear design, a perimeter with no angles, so an incredible softness of curves that enhance the complexity of this product: Caramella, the new chair designed by Marco Maran. The organic and fluid shape, clearly emphasizes the edge of the shell with differing thickness. A difficult manufacturing process that produces a seat of 15mm with a gradual reduction to 5mm on the back. Caramella is a stacking chair with a chrome frame 14x2mm; shell in beech plywood of differing thickness, as per our wood, finishing sample book. Available with frontal cover in fabric or leather. Special padding in viscoelastic foam with slow return, that enables a perfect seat moulding thanks to the thermal action of the body, minimizes pressure points, improves circulation and gradually absorbs and distributes the weight of the body in a regular and balanced way. The result is extremely comfortable and high quality upholstery.

Comfortable, colourful and cocooning. Coccola is a new armchair designed by Marco Maran with a strong image of confidence and purpose. Coccola differs from other products with its expressive, welcoming and fascinating shape. It has the comfort of a warm, firm, embrace. Produced in glossy painted rigid polyurethane, Coccola is available with frontal cover in fabric or leather, or completely upholstered in fabric. With chrome or painted fixed base, Coccola is also available on a swivel base with castors ant gas-lift.

It's MyFlower, the new lounge armchair designed by Marco Maran. The colourful and inviting shape resembles the soft petals of a MyFlower. Light, spirited and characterful, it gives the impression of comfort and fun even at first sight. The frame, in steel rod, is minimal and emphasizes the inviting features of this seat. With a strong visual impact, MyFlower has the ability to be used in a large number of environments, giving a light, fresh appearance, typical of spring flowers, to all interiors. MyFlower is in fire retardant polyurethane foam of differing densities. Upholstery in fabric, available in many colours.

Smart and imposing with its slender shape, strong and of comfortable with its measurements, Wafer is presented at Salone del Mobile 2009 as a seat able to furnish with personality contract as well as residential environment. Designed by Marco Maran, Wafer expresses in a clever yet simple way the fascinating contrasts between its measurements and its weight: a light soul in a clearly solid body where the edge, painted in contrast, emphasizes the seat and the 10 mm and an?structural feature. Wafer has a chrome steel rod sled frame injected polyurethane shell. The finish, that recalls in a clear way the homonymous biscuit, is available in two versions: oak with black painted edge or wenge with white painted edge. The chromed ABS hand grip in the back allows easy movement and is a distinctive feature of this chair. Wafer is available as stacking chair as well as barstool.
