MAGIS Magis, a company that produces furniture complements, has recently celebrated its first 25 years. An exhibition dedicated to this company has lately sketched its course and its evolution, trying to direct the attention on its most peculiar stages. Magis has always managed to match technological research and design and some good examples are the office trolley projected by Berti and Bressan in 1976 and still up-to-date and also the burlesque and futuristic design of Stefano Giovannoni and Marc Newson. Always ahead of the times and the market, Magis is an open company that exploits the wealth of the Regione Veneto and the existence of many semi-manufacturers and whose managers decided to have only assembling carried out in their factory. Designing coherence seems to be wide-ranging for this company. In fact, it was established as service company for furniture complements sector and has always been faithful to a conception of design that demands service and technological innovation in all its research projects. Magis has been able to do it thanks to the co-operation with famous designers but also investing on young designers such as Marc Berthier and Jean Marie Massaud. Magis's rich range of products is an important confirmation of its distinctiveness. There are coloured products, easy to use and lovely that are not obvious gadgets and that easily become everyday objects without being old-fashioned.
