Serralunga is a company in Biella with a tradition of more than 170 years. Born before the industrial revolution, along the way the company has changed material typology, becoming today a leader in the production of Italian Style plastic flower pots.
Serralunga's concept in to re-examine the products realised in traditional materials and, paying attention to polymers evolution, to apply the more developed plastic technology to new articles, keeping their use and functionality unchanged. As regards the traditional cheap polymer pots, Serralunga pays the maximum attention to the creativity - also ironic creativity - and to the never common innovation taste, taking care of aesthetics and functional details. This attention it is also rilevable in the new range of indoor-outdoor flowerpots and boxes designed by Ron Arad, Luisa Bocchietto, Lorenzo Clerici and Alba Gallizia, Rodolfo Dordoni, Alberto Meda, Karim Rashid, Paolo Rizzatto, Denis Santachiara. A series of new design that revolutionize our wiew of the container for plants.
Up to now seen simply as a container for plants and flowers, a generic product for which neither the brand nor aesthetics are of great importance, the flower pot gains a leading rolle in the domestic scene. A genuine item of furnishing, capable of decorating and embellishing the house. An object of design, which symbolizes attention to detail and aesthetic refinement,first quality material and production technology.
All the flowerpots are made out of plastic, new and more practical than traditional terracotta flowerpots and particularly resistant to atmospherical agents and to wear and tear. The rotational method used in their manufacture makes it possible to obtain products of high technical quality while paying attention to minute aesthetic details.
