 INTERNATIONAL MASTER (1° LEVEL) IN ROME
 DESIGN & MANAGEMENT OF DOMESTIC PRODUCT SYSTEMS


Poster MasterThe Master (1° Level) in Design & Management of domestic product systems is an advanced training programme providing specific skills and know-how to those who wish to work in small & medium enterprises and are tasked with creating and managing new design and production strategies for industrial product systems to be used in the domestic market.Organising and Managing the Master is by The Arts, Design and New Technologies Section of the I.T.A.C.A. Department - Technological Innovation in Architecture and Environmental Culture of Rome University "La Sapienza".
Training focuses mainly on Product Design, in other words on the design of industrial products either in the field of furnishings or in the field of objects for personal or community use.
The Master will analyse the scenarios and trends caused by changes in the economy and in society as well as in companies and enterprises. The objective is to define possible entrepreneurial strategies vis-ą-vis technological innovations and the potential effects of globalisation on the market.

Students will work on specific projects with leader Companies of Made-in-Italy (in the previous edition: CMS Spa, Covo, Ferrino, IFI Spa, Italcurvi, Lapalma, Legnomagia, Magis, Marelli & Benetti, Poltrona Frau, Pozzi Curvati, Reholz 3D Furniere, Tod's Group, 3M), Institutions that operate in this field (in the previous edition: Aiap - Associazione italiana Progettazione per la Comunicazione Visiva, Area-Wellness, CMS Spa, Cosmob - Laboratorio Prove e Qualitą, CTBA - Innovateque, Federterme, Licom System, Matech, Material ConneXion) and international renown Designers (in the previous edition: Piergiorgio Cazzaniga, Donato D'Urbino, Paolo Lomazzi, El Ultimo Grito, Moreno Ferrari, Lucy Orta, Roberto Palomba, Michael Rakowitz, Martin Ruiz de Azła, Jerszy Seymour): they will follow and observe the entire process that puts a product or product system on the market; definition of the brief; design; engineering and prototypes; production; marketing and the context and lifecycle of the product.
The Master will provide learning and training in the following fields: Scenarios and Megatrends, Planning and Design methods, Quality, Innovation and Sustainability of products, Communicative Traits of the technical object, New materials for the industrial product. The Master will focus use to Teaching Modules on two main fields of learning: theoretical knowledge - classroom lessons, meetings, conferences; practical/hands-on experiences - interactive seminars, laboratory experiments, workshops.

in Argentina the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Town Planning - University of Buenos Aires and INTI CIT National Institute for Industrial Technology; in Brazil the Industry Federation of the State of Sao Paulo; in Italy the Interuniversity Centre of Research in Developing Countries and Centre for Social Studies, ISIA of Florence and Graduate Course in Industrial Design of University of Florence, Graduate Course in Industrial Design of University of Camerino; in Paraguay the Faculty of Science & Technology - Catholic University of Our Lady of the Ascension; in Uruguay the Centre of Industrial Design, Montevideo and the Department of Education of the Ministry of Education & Culture.

The registration fee is of the Master is 5.000,0 Euro.
The new deadline for application (prewieved in February 28th, 2005) is March, 19th, 2005
