 PARRI / MILAN INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE FAIR 2005


Born in the beginning of 90's, Parri enter upon a way qualified by the innovation on materials, shapes and solutions for design seating and furniture. The sector they initially advance toward is the one of contract and public areas, with items designed by Marco Maran*, Art Director of the company. Chairs, tables and sofas, flexible on colours and finishes, influence the evolution of public space purely functional.

The desire to smooth decorator plans strictly technical brings to a product able to satisfy requirements of public as well as residential areas: shapes with a strong feature, materials like hide leather, pony leather, fabric, wood finishes, and a large range of colour shades, create items where linearity, design and temperament blend together.

Thanks to continuous investments in research and production development, to a strong tone in design and to a constant attention on quality of materials, Parri has an important know-how at disposal that enable the company to produce items of an absolute trend. The new collections that Parri proposes at Furniture fair 2005 are 3 chairs and 1 armchair resulting from the combination of design, colour and different materials.

Hooplà collection design by Marco Maran, was born by an extraordinary research on the conjunction of a single leaf of curved plywood. The hole is a characterising element with a strong impact making of this chair an item of considerable expressing capacity. Hooplà is not only addressed to the public as it is suitable for private residential premises. Shells are in different wood finishes and frames are in steel.

The most curious innovation by Parri for the Furniture Show 2005 is Free by Marco Maran. It is a very comfortable armchair whose lines recall the 60s. With swivel chrome steel frame with adjustable feet, it is perfect for the office or at home. It is very colourful and makes the serious atmospheres less dramatic making them be contemporary. Upholstery in fire retardant polyurethane foam of differing densities. Upholstery in Kvadrat fabric or leather.

Hoop/4 is a chair that makes public spaces be particular and unique. Available in different colours, it is perfect where vivacity and joy can be attempted. Cast polished aluminium frame. Polypropylene shell. Seat cover (SC) in Kvadrat fabric or leather. Design by Marco Maran.

Designed by Marco Maran, Baby, is a chair with minimal and winning design. It is able to satisfy modern and classic furnishing requirements. It demands a simply maintenance and has a practical use. It is comfortable and elegant. Stacking chair with chrome, brushed chrome or silver painted tubular steel frame. Shell in beech plywood in various finishing or completely upholstered and covered in Kvadrat fabric, leather or hide. Frontal cover (FC) or seat cover (SC) with fabric or leather.

Authentic news of Parri for 2005 is the sofas collection On/Off by Marco Maran, characterised by clear lines and stylish proportions expressing a timeless design.Seating system of fixed and modular elements. Results are, as shown, many different arrangements thanks to the modular seating system. The adaptability to young as well as traditional areas makes possible the personalization of any environments. Metal frame. Upholstery in fire retardant polyurethane foam of differing densities. Legs in brushed stainless steel. Upholstery in leather or fabric. Many colors available.

Plastic is a stool with a strong character and a soft shapely design. Its cheerful versatility stimulates your imagination. You will enjoy yourself stacking them one upon the other, building columns and sculptures that will visually change your room. A clever and imaginative way to redesign an everyday item. Stackable stool in coloured rotational moulded polyethylene, resistant to heat and sunlight.

But, finally are also on show some products, created at the end of the past Century, are very interesting also today; and particullary the collection of seats – chairs, armchairs, barstool ecc. – Toffee, Bla Bla bla, Eta Beta, Blob, Easy and Simple, all designed by Marco Maran.
