CAIMICASA / MILAN INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE FAIR 2006 |
The Caimi Group has always been distinguished by its essential, rigorous styling, combined with technical skill and technological know-how developed over more than half a century of history, during which around a hundred products were patented.
In 2005, Caimi Brevetti was joined by CaimiCasa, a brand name with which the Caimi Group, founded in 1949, enters a new area in the home solutions sector, with the supply of products offering a perfect combination of form and function. With the new CaimiCasa brand, which features a modular, versatile and flexible design, for highly practical, aesthetically pleasing and easy to customise products.
Products such as bookshelves, tables, chairs and accessories, coat-stands and photographs' display systems, bearing the names of such internationally renowned designers and architects, are the testimonials of a company that's been exploring the world of design for many years. The furnishing ideas are so versatile that they can be inserted in a different way in every room of the house. CaimiCasa bookshelves, for example, can be customised to fit perfectly into the living area, the study and even the kitchen.
New and interesting products CaimiCasa are presented at the International Furniture Fair of Milan 2006:
Battista CD holder, design Michele De Lucchi with Sezgin Aksu
A new addition to the Battista range of accessories is this original CD holder made of epoxy powder-coated aluminium. A clean, essential design with soft lines for this free-standing object, with a distinctive cast iron base in open profile, typical of all the accessories in this range.
Geko, design Giulio Iacchetti
"The planning challenge of joining a partition module and its joint in one component only found a simple and functional answer in this product. The look of the hexagonal module of the beehive is the inspiring source for the Geko project. A star that can be easily assembled in several ways... the obtained effect is an endless surface, a light and coloured wall to build little by little, like an endless and enthralling game" says Giulio Iacchetti. An original, pateted decoration system formed by one six-arm component in high-tech polymer to be linked endlessly and according to several combination. Perfect to divide spaces, create lively wings and coloured backdrops or just to enliven and personalize a room. By means of some simple fittings, a steel cable and chrome-plated metal support, the ornamental system can be wall and/or ceiling-mounted.
Pegaso, design Alessandro Angelotti and Letterio Gianni Cardile
A table with natural, soft, sinuous forms reminiscent of the lines typical of liberty style. An artistic table consisting of a polished or epoxy powder-coated metal structure, formed from four cast aluminium monobloc legs and a tubular crossbeam. The rectangular or elliptic top is in transparent or mat tempered glass, with polished ground edge, attached to the structure by means of four stainless steel plates.
Socrate, design Caimi Lab
Modular system of metal bookshelves of great flexibility of composition, suitable for all space and style requirements. The Socrate system consists of a base structure made of side uprights, bracing crosses or back panels and shelves, and a wide add-on range of original accessories which are easy to apply and interchange, including doors in a variety of materials and finishes, coat-hangers supports, CD shelves, and so on.
T-Chair, design Ton Haas
Chair with chrome-plated frame and seat in wooden veneered multi ply.
Finally we also remember some interesting products from the CaimiCasa Collection of the past years:
Air, design Claudio Bellini and Mario Bellini
Container/bookcase system supplied with fittings that makes it extremely functional and flexible. The shelves feature a very thin contour yet supporting considerable loads and are in solid steel sheet or with threedimensional holes. Also innovatory, the hooking system to the uprights for an easy and fast assembly.
Big, design Marc Sadler
The solid and lasting design of this product is expressed in its uprights in extruded aluminium
and the shelves in epoxy painted steel sheet. Most refined, the hooking system hiding the
gears completely. The system comes with a wide range of fittings to allow a cross use.
Koala, design Michele De Lucchi with Sezgin Aksu
This display system for photographs consists of a complete line of display units available in several sizes, easy to link and to place on steel cables.
Koala T, design Michele De Lucchi with Sezgin Aksu
New sign and communication system formed by a number of display units and
brochure-holders in transparent methacrylate coming in several sizes, allowing a free composition
on steel cables or wall-mounted. The various options allow maximum use flexibility
of the system, providing for expository installations suitable for all rooms.
Senzatempo, design Caimi Lab
A timeless classic, featuring a soft and ergonomic design. The chair frame is made of chrome-
plated steel rod, with a double edge that grants sturdiness and solidity. The optional ecofriendly leather cushions can be easily applied with Velcro.
Mariposa, design Aldo Cibic
A sinuous and organic design gives this chair a playful and winning look. The structure is in
painted tubular steel, while the seat is carried out with a weaving of plastic threads. The distinctive
feature is the play of contrasts between the solidity of the structure and the lightness
of the seat.
