KRISTALIA / MILAN INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE FAIR 2006

Kristalia was founded in 1994 by young local entrepreneurs joined by two common passions: design and jazz.
The company is nestled in the green countryside of north-eastern Italy in an area traditionally active in this sector; this strong bond is reflected in production that privileges environmentally friendly solutions and strives to create highly recyclable products.

Renovations on the company's headquarters were completed in October 2005 with the addition of a new showrooms area: a large open space in which the new engineering office was created. Engineering and sales personnel are also trained in this area, a truly informative place considered a communications platform and inspirational site.
Right from the very start, Kristalia paid special attention to innovative projects, by means of experimentation and the continuing search for new technical solutions, and using materials which they adapted from the fields of fashion and sports.

In the autumn of 1995, Kristalia presents its first catalogue to the commercial network.
The intended target for the first products was a middle-aged consumer, oriented towards contemporary furnishing, in the upper-middle economic range and with the need to find reassuring tastes and details, bound to tradition, in the things he or she purchases.
Starting from the end of the 90's, with the creation of a definitive company organization, the desire arose to pursue a new path, and to go after young customers who were not necessarily bound to tradition, offering a product with aesthetic and qualitative characteristics especially close to contemporary Italian design.
Today Kristalia offers a vast collection of top design products: tables, chairs, office armchairs, stools, complementary furnishing items and lights which have a simple line and are easy to position, gaining great success in the contract sector.

Kristalia introduces five new designs at the 45th Salone del Mobile, confirming its experience in design, and proposing multi-purpose products for homes and community areas.

All, by Bartoli Design, it's a collection of multi-purpose containers with flap doors or with drawers. The structure is underscored by aluminium profiles and by fronts in various materials and colours.

Dizzy chair, by Ruggero Magrini and Bluezone, it's a single-material seat with lightweight aluminium frame fully covered in leather.

Fifty, always by Ruggero Magrini and Bluezone, is an elegant and a very user-friendly table with anodized aluminium frame, available fixed or in extendible version.
The extension device is the distinguishing feature of the table: the two extensions, fitting into only 50 mm, allows the top to be extended easily, while remaining perfectly stable. From the base measurement of the fixed version, Fifty can be extended up to more three metres.

Hang-up!, design Salvatore+Marie, it's a wall-mounted clothes hanger of sinuous form. Crafted with the technique of aluminium casting in earth die. The complete lack of edges protects clothing.

Oops, by Monica Graffeo, it's a series of extensible or fixed tables with round, oval, square or rectangular tops, in wood material, laminate or glass. The structure is aluminium with legs in die-cast aluminium.

Finally we also remember some evergreen products from the Kristalia production of the past years: the Sushi collection designed by Bartoli Design. The real strength of this project is the width of the range. The same table fits perfectly into a home setting, an office or a public establishment. Following close on the heels of major contract deals both in Italy and abroad, the company has decided to develop a new range of elements aimed at improving and optimising desk arrangement for group work: Plexiglas partitions for multiple workstations, cable passage holes, and the insertion of a leg joint element. The single tables can be set alongside one another without the need to double the legs, allowing for an infinite number of possible configurations.
