PAOLO ULIAN Paolo Ulian is born in Massa-Carrara in Italy in the 1961. He attends the courses in painting at the Accademy of Fine Arts of Carrara where he follow the courses of painting with Getulio Alviani and then with Luciano Fabro. Afterwards he enter of the I.S.I.A. (Institute of Industrial Arts) of Florence, were he get a diploma in industrial design in 1990. From 1990 at the 1992 he works how assistant at Enzo Mari Associates office in Milan. He Wins the Design for Europe international award at the Interieur '90 competition in Kortijk (B). In the Milan furniture fair 2000 he tooks part in the SaloneSatellite and wins the first international Design Report Award launced by the german magazine Design Report. In 2000 he take part to the Saint Etienne Biennale in France. From 2002 to now he take part to the Droog Design exhibitions around the world. He wins the first prize at the Dedalus International Design Award in Italy in 2002. In 2004 is a finalist in the Bombay Shaffire. In 2005 he take part at the Design alla Coop exibition with the Fluff-remover glove that the Coop now sells in its supermarkets. In 2005 Abitare Segesta editor published the Book SaleFino dedicated to his work and to the work of others three design offices. In 2007 he take part with many his works at the New Italian Design exibition at the Triennale palace in Milan. He has been present at numerous collective exibitions in the world and collaborates with some firm how : Driade, FontanaArte, View, Sensi&C., Luminara, Zani & Zani, Droog Design, Coop, Ceramiche Ragno, Azzurra Ceramiche.
