BUT WHERE HAVE THE INVENTORS GONE? LORENZO DAMIANI |
|
Lorenzo Damiani / Udine / 2003 / for PROMOSEDIA |
Chair with a structure of metal tubing finished with white stove enamel and seat made of a cushion in soft transparent pvc filled with wood shavings. A door set in the bottom is used to insert, and if necessary, replace the shavings; 40 x 34 x h 74 cm. «Udine» was created for the exhibition The Future in the Present, organized by Marco Romanelli for Promosedia (Udine, September 2003). Starting from the brief, which called for the design of a wooden chair, Damiani proposed a discourse on the recycling of materials by reutilizing the shavings produced in a sawmill as «soft wood». |
